| i spilt wine on my laptop and it still works
i saw talladega nights and it exceeded my expectations in funniness.
i hired a guy who is creative, motivated, and super productive, but he has a hard time getting to work in the morning because he is used to working nights and sleeping days. even so, his support has been awesome.
the core crew at mex-express is committed to growth and they are the best people ive had on staff yet.
so so thankful. especially to my kids, who keep me motivated and support me in all that i do. if it wasn't for them, i am sure my life would have been over long ago. | comments: Leave a comment |
| if everything goes as planned, by the end of next week i will have grossed as much money as i usually do in 7-8 months by way of mex-express and real estate.
real estate can be incredibly lucrative, but can also be all consuming.
i no longer go out, i dont post, i only work and think about work. i barely eat.
but i am kicking ass and have seen more growth the past two months than in the past two years.
if i can keep it up, and make some sound investments i think i will be ok.
i even finally got around to getting health insurance.
if the deals i am working on now come to fruition i will be able to take the kids on a great vacation.
in other news, i have a beautiful house for sale or rent on the east side. please let me know if anyone you know is in the market peace | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| @ la fresita tonight i ordered 3 bean / no meat tostadas and one chocomilk it took over 30 min to get our food the order was wrong those people have the best strawberry milkshake and fruit salads in tucson, but the service is so slow i think i'm done there.
in other news, i finally closed my biggest deal yet, and have made tons of progress internally @ mex-express i doubt how we could have a better team. the core crew is just incredible! i hope this year manifests all the promise that it shows
all the best, | comments: Leave a comment |

| A Mexican found himself in Houston and decided to approach a prostitute.
He asked her, "How much do you sharge for the hour?"
"$100," she replied.
"Do you do Messican-style?" he asked.
Not knowing exactly what this was, she refused.
He tried to sweeten the deal and said, "I'll pay you $300 to do it Messiccan-style."
Again she declined.
Being the persistent type, he laid down a final offer. "I'll give you $500 to go Messican-style with me! What do you say?"
Finally, she agrees, thinking, "Well I've been in the game for over ten years now. I've been there and done that, and had every kind of request from weirdos from all over the world. How kinky could 'Messican-style' be?"
After an hour of every possible way and position, she turned to him and said, "That was fantastic! But I was expecting something perverted and disgusting. Ø Where does the 'Messican-style' come in?"
The Mexican popped a can of beer and replied, "I'll pay you next Wednesday when I get my sheck." | comments: Leave a comment |

the pug zy got for his birthday has been mising for eight hours. while zy was at school, some brilliant adult left the door open and he wandered out un-noticed. its dark now and getting cold. jack is only eight weeks old and not very strong or smart. javalinas, snakes, mountain lions, and crackheads are everywhere, but i'm mostly worried about the cold. if you read this and believe in the power of prayer, thought and/or intention, please ask g-d or the universe or whatever it is you believe can help bring jack home, to please keep him safe and bring us back together.

in addtion to all that, they had on this sultry lounge cd of rolling stones covers.
it was better than anything i could have reasonably expected to do tonight

| my funnest acomplishment today:
i asked one of my friends in df what i could bring from the us. iwas thinking he would ask for something from best buy or something all american like levis or orbits gum or harley davidson. but he throws down a request for a CIRCUS TOY or prop. esp something to spin fire with. two days before i fly out. do YOU know where to get something like that?
i had one MADE for him, a whole set in fact, with interchangable parts. by someone who works with flam -chen
HA! i know he was joking and half wishing, but certainly not expecting. imagine his surprise
that's when i feel like a rockstar. when i get all the shit done i need to do and then some.
thank g-d for the work and for giving me the motivation and fortitude to get it done

| i guess the one of the reasons i do well is that when the opportunity knocks i take take it and don't rest until the job is complete. for all that talk about too much time on my hands, i sure have been working longer hours than anyone i know. except maybe some of the mex-express employees who are kicking ass in school and working. they rock. im glad its not monotonous and its flexible but the work i do pulls me in lots of diferent directions so i get frazzled at the end of the day. speaking of,
today there was no food at all until 730pm. sushi cho. i still have mountains of work but i guess i'll have to delegate out what i dont complete before my trip. the people in mexico city are all hardcore and at the top of their game. wish luck in keeping up.

| the outdoor taco stand by my house is the bomb. another reason to love living on the westside!
we finally cleared the floor of all the mail. the holiday and the wreck had really backed us up. i must say jthat justin, mike and alex do a terrific job. tonight we did 2000 lbs in two hours. :)
its still unclear whether they will total the truck or repair it. i was really hoping for a new one, even if the insurance didn't cover it completely.
today i got acceptance on that 500k contract. its my biggest real estate deal to date, and its the smoothest so far. it seems the smaller the deal the more complicated it is because the principals have financial dificulties (hence the low price tag) and the properties have lots of material defects (hence the low price tag again)
so ive decided that as long as i can afford to be selective, i will be.
in other news
today's first meal was lunch at pf chang's t i first ordered the lemmon pepper shrimp but they tasted charred so i sent them back and requested the wok seared lamb instead. it tasted burned as well, but i decided to suck it up since i was starving and i didn't want to return two consecutive dishes. for a moment i thought i might be getting sick and that my sense of taste had gone mad, but the wine, chocolate cake, and the caramelos i just had for dinner were all delicious. im betting that they burnt a dish and didn't clean the wok or pan properly before reusing it.
there's a kink in my right shoulder that has been bothering me for days
my mom will be getting here tomorrow so we'll all be on lockdown. HA! i hope we don't drive her to tears. she is so nervous about everything, and life around here gets nuts sometimes
did i tell you i'm going to mexico city on the 3rd?
im pretty worn out tonight, so peace out and best wishes c
